1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of GuessTheAnime (guesstheanime.net), operated by Mazuky, owner Maximilian Böhm (see Imprint). The German version is legally binding.
2. The service
GuessTheAnime is a free guessing game with new puzzles every day. There is no entitlement to the game or individual features being available permanently. We may change, extend or discontinue features.
3. User account
Some features (e.g. leaderboard, friends, shop) require an account. You must provide truthful information and keep your password secret. One account per person.
4. Conduct
In particular, the following is not allowed:
- offensive, racist, sexual or otherwise inappropriate usernames
- automated access, bots or scraping the solutions
- exploiting bugs to gain advantages on the leaderboard or in the shop
- multiple accounts to influence the leaderboard
In case of violations we may change usernames, reset results or suspend accounts.
5. Coins, badges and shop
Coins, badges, titles and avatars are virtual game content without monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred. They expire when the account is deleted.
6. Support (donations)
You can voluntarily support GuessTheAnime with a one-time or monthly amount. As a thank-you you get ad-free time and cosmetic perks. There are no gameplay advantages for guessing or on the leaderboard. Payments are processed via Link, a Stripe service. The Link purchase terms also apply, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and the UK. You can withdraw via Link support or by email to us (see Imprint). After a withdrawal or refund, the ad-free time credited for it is removed.
You can end a monthly support at any time at the end of the current month – via “Manage subscription” on the Support page or in your Link account.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise we are only liable for breach of essential obligations, limited to the typically foreseeable damage. We are only liable for data loss, such as game progress, if it is our fault.
8. Changes
We may change these terms. We will inform you of significant changes in good time on the site or by email.
9. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
